Tai Chi is an easily accessible physical form of training that can help you get there.
Each Tai Chi posture cultivates our Qi, or life force, combining movement, breath and intention. According to ancient Chinese medicine, this energy is said to reside in the lower abdomen or “Sea of Qi.” Using the force of gravity, we direct our awareness and energy there, charging our batteries and allowing us to come into deeper contact with our true power and potential.
Sharonne and Kass have been practicing Qi Gong & Tai Chi together for a decade and, more recently, co-creating these workshops with Paul Fraser. We regularly go to the countryside and practice in nature. Here is a small taste of the Large Frame form that we will be learning with Paul this April, by Sharonne. Regular practice allows negative energy in the form of stress, memories and physical ailments to be replaced with positive Qi that fuels us. The protective energy that surrounds the body is strengthened, shielding us from unwanted influences and illness, and allowing us to remain in balance regardless of external circumstances. As we learn to move more fluidly through space, challenges become achievements, weaknesses transform into strengths, and conflict opens the door to growth and harmony.
Paul Fraser has been coming to Montreal to teach Qi Gong and Tai Chi for a decade. His teaching style is accessible and inspiring. Join us for this life-changing opportunity to learn and practice with Paul during our upcoming workshop, April 6th-7th.
During our time together, we will delve into the philosophy & practice of Tai Chi. Paul will teach a complete series of movements known as The Large Frame, a Yang Family style of Tai Chi. By the end of the weekend, you’ll have a firm grasp of the form & experience some of its many benefits. The workshop will be supplemented with an instructional video, so that you can integrate the practice into your daily life, and with a weekly class to support you.
The workshop will also offer instruction in a simple and powerful Qi Gong form known as Pangu Shengong. This form is extremely powerful by itself, and infuses any existing practices with increased vitality and depth. Designed to draw the beneficial energies of the Universe into our bodies, Pangu Shengong enhances the quality and quantity of our energy and inspires a peaceful mindset.
